The exhibition sets out to highlight past forms of communication, of journeys sort and remembered in the emotion rendering of objects containing imagery from far off cultures and landscapes, compressed within the four corners of a postcard. Producing a series of 10 works each, 24 local and international artists will explore the postcard format across photography,painting and mixed media. Bringing together personal and universal themes. AM

LINZIE ELLIS: Calm Chaos

17th February to 3rd March, 2010

 

Linzie Ellis completed her Bachelor of Visual Arts majoring in Painting at the ANU School of Art in 2008. She was awarded the ANU School of Art Acquisition Award. As Part of her studies she spent three months in London studying at the Slade School of Fine Art and was recently announced as the winner of the Prospect Portrait Prize in South Australia.
