Paul McNeil
The themes and style of McNeil’s forthcoming exhibiton at Horus & Deloris explore the visual identity of surfers and the strong graphic imagery associated. Using his trademark colours of red, black and white, McNeil explores themes of Surf culture.
Paul has been a graphic designer in Sydney for 20 years and has made a name for himself designing in the film industry and for companies such as Mambo and Mooks. Recently designing a store in Bondi called Love Police Family Store utilising many of the same concepts he uses when making his art.
Since moving to Byron Bay McNeil has ensconced himself in the world of surfboard art and design, And is pushing the boundaries of this medium to the point where his boards have become collectable works of art. McNeil using these same techniques brings to life nostalgic, sinister and punchy 2 & 3D work for his exhibition at Horus & Del
